After the “holiday”

Hey All,

Hope everyone had a great Valentine’s day. I was out of town Friday and most of Sat. In two short days I managed to get off track quite a bit, but I was aware of my wrong doing and have posted my numbers in the 52DC thread over at MH. Today is Sunday and I’m getting back on track and looking forward to tomorrow’s workout. I didn’t go into detail on the MH thread about exactly where I went off track, but if I put it out there I think it will help. In no particular order I put these non TNT approved foods in my face:

2 Chocolate covered pretzels, Part if not most of a Bloomin Onion, 3 pancakes with syrup, diced breakfast taters, And a Waffle with full sugar syrup. Dang, there was also a little rice in there somewhere.

None of this was an uncontrollable binge, just kinda what was in front of me at feeding time. Obviously sticking to my meal plan is much more difficult when I’m not preparing my own meals and am travelling. I’m determined to not make this a habit though, so any feedback or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Bloomin Onion is so hard to pass up but once I checked the calories..that is all it took! Other than that…the others don’t sound that bad. It is hard to keep your eating clean when you don’t have the opportunity cook for yourself due to traveling. Try and keep some healthy snacks with you, this will help keep you on track. I always keep some almonds and fiber one bar in my purse for the unexpected.

Good luck, you will have it mastered in time!

Pick up the pieces and get back on track. Not the end of the world but admit your mistake, which you already have done, then move on. Oh yeah, never touch, think or look at a bloomin onion again! Nutritional link to follow. Good luck!

    Huskyforlife,
You are on the money. I checked out the nutritional info and almost got sick. I can’t believe there is that much crud in something so tasty. Thanks for the heads up. I knew it wasn’t great, but I had no idea.

That was yesterday - it is history. Don’t dwell on it and don’t let it control your future. Learn from it.
Today is now and Tomorrow is yet to be made. Make it a great day.
    Good Luck

Yeah, I don’t even think they should be alowed to sell that thing. The problem is they taste so freaking good. My question is who thought of that thing and how big are they? Unbelievable…
