First four weeks on TNT

March 13th, 2009 by jobee9er

Ok, so I just finished the last TNT workout for the fourth week and I’m feeling pretty darn good. I stretched it out to five weeks because I was sick last week and lost a workout or two.  I’m impressed with how simple it really is. The workouts are a little tough due to my inexperience, but I’m adapting and looking forward to next week’s new excercises.   My numbers so far aren’t crazy, but if they keep going in the proper direction I’ll be more than happy with my progress. The 52DC is a great incentive to keep on track and I’m already thinking about goals for the next one.  Don’t want to write a novel here, so I’ll post my numbers thus far and see you all later.

Numbers after 4/5 weeks on TNT:

Weight: 215 to 208

Waist: 48.5 to 46.5

Chest: 46.75 to 45.25

Neck: 17 to 16.5

Pics coming soon hopefully

Where it gets confusing

March 2nd, 2009 by jobee9er

Hey All,

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a chance to post so here we go. I’ve been trying to keep up with the posting on the men’s health website for 52DC and so far so good. I’ve lost a total of 16 pounds since Dec. 24th and I’m feeling better all around. I had an appointment with my Doctor the other day and he has confused me somewhat. Though he was happy about the weight loss, he is concerned about my cholesterol levels.  He has prescribed a low dose of Zocor and recommended a drastic cut back in the amount of red meat and eggs that I’m consuming. I understand the concern, but also don’t want to be taking medications for the rest of my life if I can help it naturally. I’m supposed to go back in about three months to get blood work done again and I didn’t have any previous blood work to compare this weeks results with. I’ve only been on the TNT eating plan for a little over a month and I’m hoping that three months from now the numbers will be much better.  My confusion comes from the red meat and eggs part of all of this. Should I cut back on the red meat and eggs? Will TNT work without the red meat and eggs? Will the cholesterol numbers go in the right direction if I follow the plan as is and don’t worry about the red meat and eggs?  I’m in the middle of something that seems to be working for me and I don’t want it to stop, but I don’t want to shorten my life by raising my cholesterol either.  Any and all suggestion on this matter are much appreciated.

One week down

February 18th, 2009 by jobee9er

So it’s been a whole seven days since we got things started and I’m feeling pretty good so far. Hit a couple of speed bumps but I’m adjusting. Only lost a pound on the scale, but lost an inch off my waist and an inch and a quarter off of my chest. Hope everyone is doing well.

After the “holiday”

February 15th, 2009 by jobee9er

Hey All,

Hope everyone had a great Valentine’s day. I was out of town Friday and most of Sat. In two short days I managed to get off track quite a bit, but I was aware of my wrong doing and have posted my numbers in the 52DC thread over at MH. Today is Sunday and I’m getting back on track and looking forward to tomorrow’s workout. I didn’t go into detail on the MH thread about exactly where I went off track, but if I put it out there I think it will help. In no particular order I put these non TNT approved foods in my face:

2 Chocolate covered pretzels, Part if not most of a Bloomin Onion, 3 pancakes with syrup, diced breakfast taters, And a Waffle with full sugar syrup. Dang, there was also a little rice in there somewhere.

None of this was an uncontrollable binge, just kinda what was in front of me at feeding time. Obviously sticking to my meal plan is much more difficult when I’m not preparing my own meals and am travelling. I’m determined to not make this a habit though, so any feedback or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Day 3 already

February 13th, 2009 by jobee9er

Hey All,

It’s hard to believe that we are three days into the 52DC already. I sort of missed day two as I slept for about 15 hours. Unfortunately I awoke to devastating news of another plane crash upstate. My thoughts are with the families of the victims and all of you that may be affected.

So far things with the challenge are grooving along pretty well. Since I wasn’t awake much yesterday I managed to score another full day of clean eats, and I just finished my third weight workout of the week this morning.  I’m sore pretty much from head to toe, but I’m hoping the two day rest over the weekend will prep me for next week.

I’ve got plans to go out of town tonight and hit a theme park tomorrow, so please keep my clean eating in your thoughts. Valentines day might do me in just a little, but we’re only human right? See you all tomorrow or Sunday.

First workout

February 9th, 2009 by jobee9er

Hey all,

I know 52DC doesn’t start until the 11th, but i’ts monday and it seemed like the perfect day to start my TNT workout plan. I’ve been following the meal plan for just over two weeks and dropped 6-7 pounds. The workout this morning really gave me a wake up call as to how far I have to go. I couldn’t do the push-ups in the warm up and I kinda feel like I’ve been hit by a dump truck now that I’m done with the workout. I’m glad I got the first one out of the way and I’m optimistic of what the future holds.  Will write again soon.

TRAIN HARD EVERYBODY

Before we begin again

February 7th, 2009 by jobee9er

Okay, So Feb 11th is the start of my first 52 day challange. I’m just trying to get used to the blogging aspect now so I don’t fall behind. I’m not used to blogging so it will take a little while to adjust.  I’m hoping the 52DC will be the kick in the butt that I need to make some major life changes that are long overdue. If you have any feedback along the way I would greatly appreciate it.
